Every year around this time, Mary and I start planning some event that will allow us to share some of our blessings with our friends and neighbors.  After we got back from our vacation in early September, we began planning a barbecue picnic.  We wanted to have some traditional games and lots of good food and drinks for as many of our Ecuadorian and ex-pat friends as possible.

Mary has planned and pulled off events for large groups in the past and she jumped into the project.  After a few days, it became obvious that we simply did not have enough room to invite everyone we wanted to, so we tried to pare the list down to one hundred people.  We think now that we will have more like one hundred and twenty people here in our yard for the grand event in about two weeks.
