It’s been a busy few weeks and Sr Escorpion has been covered on my easel patiently waiting for the finishing touches. Again I reached the point of when enough is enough. And I think I’m almost at that point.
Original molas generally have the dominant colors of black , red or orange, so when I decided I wanted to paint a series of three I decided to use each of those colors. Now orange is definitely not one of my favorites, so that is probably why I left this one for last and did struggle a bit when choosing the additional colors as I went along. I achieved the result I was working towards, a bright, colorful painting that you’ll either love or hate. 🙂
Meet Sr. Escorpion
A couple more hours of cleaning up some lines then Sr. Escorpion will take center stage between Sr. Pelicano and Sr. Tortuga.
