Another grandchild’s gift is completed. I had a lot of fun painting this one over a three week period. I usually have two or three paintings going at the same time. Sometimes it’s because I need a break from the small detail work but mainly it’s my thought process of deciding on the design, colors, the details or even how to sketch and paint something that I haven’t done before ( like seahorses). 🙂
This is number 19 of the 26 needed, though I have finished numbers 20 and 21. But you’ll have to wait to see those next week.
We have a large combined family helped along by my daughter’s combined family. The birth of grandson Corey on Sunday brought us up to twenty-one grandchildren with twins due in April, and two great-grandchildren with another due in November. We also have a grown grandson, part of Carrie’s family who I haven’t included in the count. The adult family members will be receiving a different type of artistic gift. You’ll get a glimpse of that in a month or so.
As you probably noticed I don’t use the descriptive word “step”. Family is family, doesn’t matter that you don’t share the same DNA. We miss you guys and are looking forward to our visit to the States in April.
Check out Lisa’s blog this week featuring the awesome talent of her friend, Silvana.
