We had a busy week. (That sounds so weird considering we are retired!) Workers were at Jan’s house thoughout the week last week and Monday and Tuesday of this week, so I had to purposefully set aside time to keep up on Lisa’s challenge to take time out for art each week.
But, it was worth it as I discovered that I could produce a sketch without the step-by-step instructions I have been following in a “how to” book I have been using. This week I just looked at a picture or a wolf and a cougar and tried to draw the picture myself.
I know that it is unlikely that these two carnivores would be lying around together, but what the heck…
Here is a closer shot of the two faces. I was pretty happy with the eyes and I continue to learn more each week about what to do and what not to do with shading.
Once again a big thank you to Lisa for introducing me to something I had never really tried before.
See: http://playamart.wordpress.com/2013/07/11/timeout-for-art-drawing/ for Lisa’s latest illustrations and instructions.
Life is good in Ecuador retirement!
