Happy Fourth of July all!
Here it is another Thursday and time to post my latest effort to take time out for art. Lisa’s challenge continues to edge me further into a venture I never expected to be involved with as I continue to try to create sketches. See: http://playamart.wordpress.com/2013/07/04/timeout-for-art-bones/ for Lisa’s latest instructions and insight.
Mary bought me an early birthday gift and presented them to me Tuesday night – a box of thirty-six colored pencils! You can not tell, but I used some black, grey, and silver in this picture and it made the shading much easier. I also put in a splash of greens for the grass just to get used to my new tools!
I broke away from drawing people and tried an old Ford. (Note: See legal disclaimer below)
The hope was to make it look like it had been sitting abandoned in a field. I hope you like it.
Disclaimer: The car depicted in this picture was in a severe roll over accident which bent the frame and fenders. Any lack of symmetry or distortion in this depiction is not the fault of the person who drew this picture nor of the manufacturer – Ford Motor Company. No persons or animals were injured in the accident.
Seriously though, I am still having fun and hope to start incorporating more color with my new colored pencils.
Live is good in Ecuador!
