Lisa, I love this weekly challenge you started and this past week I actually wished we had two Thursdays a week :).
I did discover something interesting about myself this past week, I do love to sketch, but generally the end results disappoint me. Shades of gray and black just don’t excite me like glorious colors. About eight months ago I decided I wanted to make something special for my dear amiga, zeebra, I started with a rough draft of the sketch below. That idea did get shelved when I realized that a black and white zebra just did not fit the colorful personality of you my dear friend….so the Rainbow Zeebra was created. This almost was your “love” gift.
But it didn’t want to wait for its splash of color.
I will continue to sketch and hopefully the subtle shades of black and gray will grow on me.
Next week it will be Senor Pelicano, if he ever finishes his time out. He’s been trying to imitate my fantasy “punk rock” birds, not realizing that it just doesn’t suit his lofty regal presence.
