Our friends, Jan and Wayne have returned to Ecuador and will be staying for four months. They brought their nephew and his wife from Wisconsin, Jeff and Gayle, so that they could escape the winter and enjoy a week or two on the beaches of San Clemente.
Yesterday Jeff and Gayle were walking on the beach and noticed a six-foot long snake that had ventured too near the cool ocean waters and was on the beach. They went back to tell Wayne and Jan about the snake they had seen. Jan determined to stay safely up in the house, but Wayne hurried down to see if the snake was still on the beach.
Since the snake had been chilled by the waters, it had not moved. Wayne found the snake and picked it up.
The following pictures were taken by Gayle after Wayne rescued the snake.
